How To Register for RMSC's Get Connected Platform!

Having trouble navigating RMSC's volunteer website? This page is your landing site for learning how to register for RMSC's Get Connected website as a volunteer. 

Here, you will learn the basics of creating an account on the site if you are interested in becoming an RMSC volunteer. If this page does not answer your question(s), feel free to reach out to RMSC's Volunteer Manager at volunteers@rmsc.org. Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us! 

Creating an Account

Looking to create an account and start your RMSC Volunteer journey? It's simple! To start, click the green Sign Up button at the top of your screen:

From there, you will be taken to the first step, Create Account.

  1. Enter your name and email address. If you want to sign up using your Facebook account, you can do so by clicking the button labeled Sign Up With Facebook.

  2. Type a password in both the Password and Confirm Password fields.

    Note: Passwords must be at least eight characters long and are not case-sensitive. Most Connect sites do not require a combination of letters, numbers, and special characters.

  3. Click Create Your Account.

Next, select the causes you want to support. Selecting causes you are passionate about will help you match with appropriate volunteer opportunities at RMSC and around the community. See the image below for an example of what this looks like:



In the next step, you will select your interests and skills, to further help with matching you with opportunities. This will look similar to the Causes step and will also help you build out your Volunteer Resume!



Optionally, you can become a fan of some Programs in the next step. These programs represent the diverse volunteer departments within RMSC - this step can be skipped by clicking the Continue to Next Step button, and your fanned programs can also be changed later.



One final step - there are some required Qualifications we ask you to review before you begin volunteering with RMSC. If you are under age 18, a parent or guardian must consent by signing the Youth Volunteer Waiver. All volunteers age 18 and older must sign the RMSC Volunteer Release of Liability Waiver, and certain opportunities require attending an RMSC New Volunteer Orientation before you can respond. After completing this step, click Finish Sign Up and you're ready to start exploring the RMSC Get Connected site as a user! As mentioned above, please reach out to RMSC's Get Connected site administer at volunteers@rmsc.org if you have any additional questions.
